24 Apr 2025 · Prosperity, Corporate

The Chinese logistics firm looks to expand its TIR operations and raise the efficiency of intermodal transport.

QILU International Land Port has joined IRU, the world road transport organisation, as its newest member.

Founded in 2021, QILU International Land Port develops and operates transport hubs that integrate all modes, streamlining the flow of goods and facilitating both domestic and international logistics.

With its strong focus on TIR operations, QILU’s goals align with China's Belt and Road Initiative, positioning the company to contribute to IRU’s mission of advancing global road transport logistics.

IRU Secretary General Umberto de Pretto said, “We are pleased to welcome QILU into the IRU family. Their expertise will strengthen TIR road transport operations in one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing markets.”

QILU International Land Port General Manager Xiangnan Jia said, “With vast potential for expanding international road goods transport and TIR in China, we are excited to join IRU. Together, we will continue to grow TIR volumes and optimise transport times and costs across Central Asia, the Caucasus and beyond.”

QILU International Land Port is part of a broader initiative to enhance trade and logistics efficiency in Shandong, which plays a significant role in China’s domestic and international trade.
