Jitie Lancheng has joined IRU to expand its TIR operations and strengthen partnerships with leading transport and logistics companies worldwide.
IRU, the world road transport organisation, welcomes Jitie Lancheng as its newest member. Established in 2021, Jitie Lancheng provides a full range of transport and logistics services, including supply chain management, freight forwarding, warehousing, inventory management, distribution, packaging, and last-mile delivery.
Jitie operates the Linyi International Inland Port Railway Customs Supervision Operation Area, the first railway customs facility in Linyi. As a dry port, it plays a crucial role in enhancing trade connectivity and integrating the city into the Belt and Road Initiative.
With Linyi serving as China’s largest trade wholesale market cluster and northern China’s biggest logistics hub, the development of TIR transport is key to enhancing the city’s trade and logistics infrastructure.
IRU Secretary General Umberto de Pretto said, “We’re excited to strengthen our community with the addition of Jitie Lancheng. Together, we can further develop efficient and secure TIR road transport operations from China to Central Asia and beyond.”
“Our members will also benefit greatly from Jitie Lancheng’s expertise in transport logistics across China and Eurasia,” he added.
Jitie Lancheng General Manager Yanmin Chen said, “We are delighted to join IRU. In addition to expanding our TIR operations, we look forward to collaborating with IRU’s global network of leading transport and logistics companies.”
“We fully advocate and support IRU's role and efforts in promoting global economic growth, sustainable development and logistics,” he added.
Jitie Lancheng was founded in December 2021 in Linyi, Shandong.
