IRU member CEVA Logistics recently hosted the third IRU Green Compact roundtable exploring industry challenges and opportunities.
With the Green Compact, IRU aims to build a global, pragmatic, collaborative, evidence-based approach to support the most optimal and cost-effective approaches to decarbonise road transport.
The IRU Green Compact also brings together the industry to share experiences and best practices.
With around 30 major companies in attendance, pragmatic decarbonisation efficiency solutions were on the agenda at the third IRU Green Compact roundtable organised by IRU and hosted by CEVA Logistics.
Listening to the different use cases and the decarbonisation journey of CEVA Logistics brought many insights and actionable measures.
Exchanges on best practises were followed by rich debates, including on eco-trucks, intermodality and the vehicle-to-everything technology. The debates highlighted both the obstacles and solutions facing the sector on the journey towards a greener future.
The next IRU Green Compact roundtable will take place in January 2025 and focus on alternative fuels.
Do not miss out on the upcoming IRU decarbonisation webinar, Your path to decarbonisation: Total cost of ownership for alternative powertrains in the EU, on 29 October. We will explore alternative powertrain solutions for trucks in the EU, comparing them to traditional options in terms of total cost of ownership and CO₂ emissions.
