Parcel delivery and commerce solutions market leader Geopost has become the world road transport organisation’s newest member.
Geopost has joined IRU to help shape the commercial road transport debate at the EU level and advance the sector together with IRU’s global network of transport and logistics members.
Operating across 50 countries worldwide, Geopost relies almost exclusively on road transport to lead in parcel delivery and commerce solutions.
IRU Secretary General Umberto de Pretto said, “We’re delighted to welcome Geopost into the IRU family. They are leaders in efficient and sustainable express road freight delivery. We look forward to working together and helping Geopost cement their standing as an international reference in sustainable delivery.”
“Both Geopost and the IRU network stand to benefit greatly from each other’s expertise in efficient and green road goods transport,” he added.
Founded in 1999, Geopost is dedicated to making commerce more convenient, profitable and sustainable for its customers and communities. The company employs 55,000 people worldwide and handles over two billion parcels through brands such as DPD, BRT, SEUR, Jadlog and Asendia.
