Turning China’s Sichuan province into a road transport powerhouse
I have nearly 20 years of experience in the road transport industry.
I’m currently a General Manager Assistant at IRU member Sichuan Port and Shipping Investment Group (SPSI).
My team successfully established SPSI International Road Transportation and launched the first cross-border road transport from Sichuan province. During its first year, we completed over 1,000 trips, ranking first in Sichuan province.
We also developed the “Sichuan Cross-border Road Transport Distribution Centre”, which has already started operating in two logistics node parks.
Based on our experience, we helped to draft policies related to cross-border road transport in China’s Sichuan province.
With continued efforts in the fields of road transport (cold chain logistics and cross border), railway and air logistics, SPSI has achieved over 20,000 twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU) of rail and air cargo transport.
SPSI’s cold chain logistics business has expanded to 23 provinces and cities across China while its international air waybill service covers some 200 countries and regions worldwide.
SPSI has also achieved significant growth in the fields of international logistics, import and export, and digital trade, with a revenue of approximately RMB 11.5 billion, an import and export trade volume of around RMB 8 billion, and a total asset value of nearly RMB 5 billion in 2022.
SPSI has invested in more than 10 coastal and open border areas across China, such as Hong Kong and Shenzhen, making it a leading enterprise in Sichuan.
