What are the key challenges and opportunities for the logistics and supply chain sector in transitioning to a more sustainable and resilient circular economy in Saudi Arabia and beyond?
Marking IRU’s 75th anniversary, we are organising a special event during the Supply Chains and Logistics Conference hosted by the Ministry of Transport and Logistics Services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Our interactive panel – featuring Denice Viktoria Staaf (Global Director, Supply Chain Sustainability and Circularity Initiatives, VCARE Academy), Eyad Karadsheh (VP Land Transport – MEA, DB Schenker), Jonas Velez Gonzalez-Tarrio (Chief Operating Officer, Alsa), Meshal Almofadhi (General Manager of Freight Transportation, Transport General Authority) and Vincent Erard (Senior Director – Strategy & Development, IRU) – will focus on how:
- Sustainable transport can promote a circular economy by reducing emissions, promoting a sharing economy, encouraging sustainable production, and facilitating circular logistics
- Road transport can be integrated into circular supply chains, ensuring the efficient flow of goods and materials, and minimising waste
- Policy and regulation can promote circularity in road transport, and how governments and industry can work together to develop effective policies
The conference is organised under the patronage of H.E. Engineer Saleh bin Nasser bin Ali Al-Jasser, Minister of Transport and Logistics Services.
IRU President Radu Dinescu will also give a special presentation to the main congress plenary at 11:45 AM (local time) on 22 October.
Live streaming link for entire event will be made available here.
