Optimising road transport with autonomous processes
My job is all about getting the most out of autonomous vehicles.
There’s a huge potential for making transport both safer and more efficient by exploiting vehicles’ ability to connect with a control system.
Transport can be optimised by driving according to smarter dispatch systems and at optimal speed to save as much energy as possible, and data from road sensors or other vehicles can be shared to prevent dangerous driving situations.
As Applied Autonomy’s Chief Operating Officer, I’m working towards this vision of optimised transport every day.
The shift from manual to autonomous processes requires a new way of looking at tasks and procedures. There are so many more possibilities.
Bringing cutting-edge technology into real business cases requires a lot of different knowledge and creativity, and I’m fortunate to collaborate with partners all over the world.
