State of the art: digitalising trade in Uzbekistan and beyond
My division at the Department for the Organization of Customs Control and Clearance of the Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan is responsible for developing policies that ensure effective customs control and clearance procedures at border crossings.
I’ve worked on the development of the national regulatory framework to implement the TIR Convention in Uzbekistan, participating in the unification process and proposing amendments to the TIR Convention.
In December 2022, we completed the first eTIR transport between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.
My focus is to further develop road transport in Uzbekistan and beyond, ensuring that the entire region is established as a state-of-the-art trade hub. I’m currently a consultant for the Islamic Development Bank as part of a project to improve and facilitate road transport in Central Asia.
I’m also the Chairman of the TIR Administrative Committee for 2023, a member of the TIR Executive Board for 2023-2024, and the Deputy Chairman of the expert group on the implementation of e-CMR (GE.22) by the Working Party on Road Transport (SC.1) for 2023.
