Living up to our eco-values: Driving Canada into the future
My path as an industry leader revolves around the heavy industry domain. Leading the Sutherland Group, I hope to have a positive impact on team members, partners and communities.
We’ve pioneered liquefied natural gas tractors, significantly curbing greenhouse gas emissions. We introduced innovative freight solutions, like stretch trailers for residual wood transport and wide bulk trailers for pulp logs, in alignment with our eco-values.
Beyond business, I’ve chaired the Canadian Trucking Alliance (CTA)’s Blue Ribbon Task Force, addressing driver shortages.
Presently, as an active participant in CTA's image/industry recruitment campaign, we strive to reshape the perception of our industry and attract new talent.
In my home province of British Columbia, I chair the BC Trucking Association, fostering collaboration, propelling green technology in transport, and promising an eco-friendly future.

As the Sutherland Group’s President, and through industry involvement, I’m committed to steering the sector towards safety, efficiency and eco-consciousness for a sustainable future.
