On International Customs Day 2024, the Saudi Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) and the World Customs Organization (WCO) honoured IRU with a certificate of merit.
ZATCA marked International Customs Day along with WCO at an event in Riyadh featuring an audience of high-ranking public and private attendees, representing national, regional and international partners.
H.E. the Governor of ZATCA presented IRU with a certificate of merit in recognition of the strong relationship of trust that both partners have built since the Kingdom’s accession to the TIR convention in 2018.
IRU Secretary General Umberto de Pretto said, “It is an honour for IRU to be recognised for its work on International Customs Day from a strategic partner such as the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority.”
“We highly value the trust that we have built, along with our member the Saudi Automobile and Touring Association, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We look forward to further strengthening and celebrating our partnership in the years to come,” he added.
IRU member the Saudi Automobile and Touring Association received the award on behalf of IRU at the event in Riyadh.
