Transforat, a leading road transport provider of innovative digital solutions, has joined IRU as its newest member.
Transforat Trading and Information Technology helps road goods transport companies optimise their operations in Iraq and neighbouring countries.
Through its platform, “URUK”, Transforat offers a comprehensive technological environment and infrastructure for operating and managing shipments, from pick-up to delivery.
Transport companies can monitor their vehicles throughout the entire delivery cycle, ensuring round-the-clock vehicle safety and tracking. Operators can also share advance cargo information for risk management with customs via the platform.
IRU Secretary General Umberto de Pretto said, “We are delighted that Transforat has decided to join IRU. Given Iraq’s strategic location placing it at the heart of east-west and north-south trade, the country holds huge potential as a regional trade hub, especially now that it has joined the global TIR transit system. Together with Transforat, we can help Iraq achieve its potential.”
Transforat CEO Hussein Mohammed said, “We are very pleased to join IRU. We look forward to working with IRU’s global family of transport and logistics experts to introduce new best practices to the sector in Iraq, improve our offerings in international road goods transport, and achieve technological integration that enhances the efficiency of transport operations.”
Transforat was founded in Baghdad in 2004.
