The Kashgar TIR Logistics Hub, a one-stop-shop consolidating all essential TIR transit services under one roof, is now helping ship goods from China to Afghanistan.
A new trade route to Afghanistan from the TIR logistics hub in far west China has been activated.
A TIR truck set off for Afghanistan after completing all TIR and export customs declaration procedures in Kashgar. The truck left China through the Khunjerab border crossing, before arriving in the Afghan capital of Kabul via Pakistan.
The IRU-accredited Kashgar TIR Logistics Hub, which opened in May 2024, unites all key transit services under one roof: customs clearance, warehousing, cargo handling, route development, and transport-capacity matching.
Huawei Zhang, Head of Kashgar TIR Logistics Hub, said, “The benefits of the Kashgar TIR Logistics Hub are clear: it consolidates all essential TIR transit services, significantly simplifying and accelerating customs procedures.”
“We receive goods from across China and Southeast Asia. We then manage all transit and export procedures and use the TIR system to efficiently and securely ship goods towards Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Eurasia and beyond,” he added.
With TIR already optimising trade from China, the hub’s integrated approach further streamlines operations, boosting efficiency and cutting costs for transport companies.
Located in China’s north-west Xinjiang Region, Kashgar serves as a key logistics hub for goods transported to West Asia and beyond.
