Sudan will soon start formal procedures for accession to the TIR Convention in a bid to expand its platform for regional and Middle East trade and to reinstate Sudan’s position in the global arena after decades of sanctions.
The Sudanese Customs and Ministry of Transport, Roads, and Bridges have confirmed their determination to move forward with forthcoming TIR accession and implementation. Sudan Customs have nominated the Union of the Sudanese Chambers of Commerce to be the issuing and guaranteeing association of TIR in the country.
