What are the challenges and opportunities facing the European logistics sector’s journey to carbon neutrality? IRU and POLIS will address your pressing decarbonisation questions during a three-part webinar series. Join us tomorrow for part one.
IRU and POLIS are convening policy experts and leaders from the public and private sectors to present key EU projects and debate the decarbonisation of heavy-duty freight transport in (peri-)urban areas and on the European road network.
The first webinar will take place tomorrow, Tuesday 13 February, from 15:00 to 16:00 CET.
Ben Kraaijenhagen, coordinator for the ZEFES project and Technical Project Coordinator at Vrije Universiteit Brussel, will kick off the webinar with a keynote presentation unpacking the complex landscape of European freight transport and the various challenges all along the supply chain.
The presentation will be followed by a lively debate featuring policymakers, the industry and public authorities on the best path forward to effectively decarbonise the European logistics sector.
Other speakers include Emmanuel Arnaud, Senior Vice President Operations, Europe, XPO; Marc Billiet, Senior Adviser, Goods Transport, IRU; Bart Dumoulin, Project Manager E-Mobility, BBLV; Niklas Schmalholz, Project Manager, POLIS; and Raffaele Vergnani, Project Manager, Cluster Lead Urban Freight, POLIS.
