Within the EU, TotalEnergies supports the Fit for 55 package, particularly several key components that are aligned with its strategy and positions, including the deployment of charging stations and hydrogen refuelling infrastructure, as well as the development of low-carbon and renewable fuels for the transport industry.
Founded in 1924, TotalEnergies is a global multi-energy company that is present in more than 130 countries, with nearly 16,000 service stations. The company has a new ambition of becoming a major player in the energy transition, and is engaged in reaching net zero by 2050, together with society.
Over recent years, TotalEnergies has initiated a transition towards renewable energies, such as solar, sustainable biofuels and electricity from mostly renewable sources. In 2021, investments in renewables and electricity accounted for 25% of the company’s investments.
