IRU celebrates excellence in environmental protection, corporate social responsibility and economic performance at the 17th IRU-AsMAP UA International Conference in Kiev.
Giving participants the opportunity to better understand their position in the international road transport market, the “Best Eurasian Road Transport Operator” award increases healthy competition, while creating a positive image for the industry.
Winners were presented with trophies by IRU President, Christian Labrot, IRU Secretary General, Umberto de Pretto and AsMAP UA President, Leonid Kostiuchenko:
- Region-Trans (Russia) – up to 10 vehicles
- LGS GLOBAL SERVIS (Kazakhstan) – from 11 to 50 vehicles
- Rapid Kyiv Production Company (Ukraine) and Belsotra (Belarus) – more than 50 vehicles
The jury also awarded a special certificate for high ecological standards to Belarusian company Big-Trail that operates a fleet of 25 vehicles all Euro-6.
Chairman of the jury, President of the IRU Liaison Committee to Eurasia and member of IRU’s Presidential Executive, Leonid Kostiuchenko, said:
“The jury had a very difficult task to choose winners in each category out of over 20 shortlisted dossiers. In our world with a very fast changing environment and market situation we were pleased to receive many highly effective companies nominated by the respective national associations”.
