IRU has announced the 2021 winners of its Best Eurasian Road Transport Operator awards. Recognising excellence and best practice across a range of areas, including economic performance, corporate social responsibility and the environment, the awards have gone to four road transport operators in Belarus, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine.
Chairman of the jury, THADA Chairman, Bekmyrat Eyeberdiyev, who is also President of the IRU Liaison Committee to Eurasia and a member of IRU’s Presidential Executive, said: “As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact connectivity and integration causing disruption of the supply chains, road transport, as the most resilient mode, has been crucial in responding to the crisis. In these trying times, our drivers and transport operators have become heroes, delivering food, medicine and vaccines anytime, anywhere.”
This year’s winners are:
- Up to 10 vehicles: Race (Russia)
- 11 to 50 vehicles: Dias-Expedit (Moldova)
- More than 50 vehicles: Primway (Belarus) and Zahidukrtrans (Ukraine)
IRU congratulates the winners for championing excellence in the industry. Each will receive a special IRU Eurasian Award trophy and certificate.
