Accelerating the decarbonisation of collective road transport is critical to reach net-zero emissions by 2050.
ZEB 2023 calls on European manufacturers, policymakers and operators to scale up their zero-emission ambitions and become global leaders in the transition to a net-zero society.
The conference will be held over four days, from 9 to 12 October 2023, and will include networking opportunities and access to the Busworld Europe exhibition.
Stasa Mrdovic, IRU Manager – Passenger Transport, will moderate the session on Zero Emission Coach Ecosystem – Technological challenges and business adaptations (infrastructure focus), taking place on 12 October from 11:50am to 12:50pm.
This panel, moderated by IRU, will discuss the opportunities and challenges to the emerging market of zero-emission coach infrastructure, specifically looking to cover the availability of refuelling and recharging networks, grid capacity, managing vehicle range and the emergence of new business models.
FlixBus will provide the perspective of a global coach operator, with plans to trial Daimler electric coaches, and eventually move to a mix of battery-electric and hydrogen fleets. They will also discuss the different challenges faced by an operator looking to decarbonise its fleet.
