Event organised by Busworld.
Raluca Marian, IRU's Director of EU Advocacy, will speak on the panel on Driver shortages in the road passenger transport industry.
Oleg Kamberski, IRU's Senior Consultant – Social Affairs, will partake in the session on "The Future of Coach Tourism" and discuss the "EU's driving and rest time regulations for coach drivers". This session will take place on Thursday 12 October, from 14:00 to 18:00.
Coach tourism is facing challenging times, although a renewed attention for group tourism by coach is clearly felt in the market. Difficult access regulations for coaches in city centres and the new drive and rest time regulations for coach drivers promise to be a logistical nuisance.
Via the organisation of business meetings within this conference, coach operators and tourist attractions, hotels, restaurants, and others in Flanders and France will be able to meet and negotiate. A stronger collaboration with long-term partnerships between different tourist stakeholders can strengthen the market position of coach tourism.
