The World Customs Organization (WCO) will hold the 2024 edition of its annual flagship event, the Technology Conference and Exhibition, from 12 to 14 November 2024, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Traditionally, the conference gathers between 1,200–1,300 participants from customs authorities and other border agencies, technology providers, the broader business community, international organisations, development partners, academia and others involved in the international trade arena.
Under the theme “Digital Frontiers: Customs Embracing Innovation with Traditional and New Partners”, the 2024 WCO Technology Conference will explore how the global customs community can take a forward-thinking approach to its mission of ensuring trade facilitation, border security and the resilience of global supply chains.
Senior TIR and Transit Manager Lucas Lagier will participate in session three, titled "A New Era in Land Transport: Pushing Boundaries with Data and Technology", on Tuesday 12 November, from 15:05 to 16:00 (local time, GMT-3).
The conference will have simultaneous interpretation in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese.
