Tenth package of EU sanctions impacting transit via Russia
Transport operators that continue deliveries transiting the territory of the Russian Federation are kindly advised to read and understand the provisions of the tenth package of sanctions adopted by the EU on 25 February 2023. It notably prohibits the transit via the territory of Russia of the dual-use goods and technologies. Full texts of respective EU regulations are available here.
IRU therefore reminds transport operators to comply with local, national and international laws, including all trade sanctions rules, as well as to carefully assess potential exposure to risks when accepting any cargo or signing any contract with service providers.
