Italy: extension of the permit exemption for Ukrainian carriers transporting international goods by road
The Ministry of Sustainable Infrastructure and Mobility in Italy has extended the exemption for the need for carriers to obtain a permit (authorisation) for international transport of goods by road. The measure applies for carriers of Ukrainian nationality and allows them to circulate freely on Italian territory. The exemption, previously valid until 30 June 2022, is now valid until 31 December 2022 (inclusive). The date may possibly be extended.
All vehicles must comply with the road traffic requirements (for example, insurance or safety obligations).
