IRU Resolution to reduce the impact of the economic crisis on road transport, (2009)

Given the correlation between the economy and road transport volumes, the economic crisis, has severely impacted the demand for road transport services. This IRU Resolution therefore calls on the competent authorities and transport operators to adapt policies and optimise operating costs in order to reduce the negative impact of the economic crisis on the road transport industry. It also provides political and business recommendations to expedite the recovery of the sector and the economy.
