Further to the joint IRU-ITF study highlighting the dramatic situation concerning pirate attacks and international organised crime (one in six drivers has been the victim of such attacks), the IRU, in cooperation with the ITF, has developed an interactive web application to facilitate the sharing of information on the number and location of secure parking areas. This IRU Resolution also calls for communication between the authorities, IRU Member Associations and transport operators in order to put an end to these attacks.
