The second ZEFES Stakeholder Symposium will take place at Volvo's headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden, on 23 October 2024. This year’s symposium is anticipated to be a dynamic and interactive gathering brining together key players from across the freight and transport sectors.
Since January 2023, IRU has been deeply involved in the ZEFES (Zero Emissions Flexible Vehicle Platforms) project, which is focused on advancing the adoption of battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) and fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs) by making them more affordable, efficient and viable for long-haul transport.
Last year, the first ZEFES Stakeholder Symposium welcomed experts, updated them on the project progress and received feedback on topics such as supply chain needs for zero-emission heavy-duty vehicles, road permits, energy infrastructure and digital twins.
The second version of the symposium will feature an innovative World Café format, allowing participants to gain detailed insights into the progress and future directions of the ZEFES project. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in interactive discussion forums that delve into various topics, fostering rich dialogue and collaboration among industry leaders, stakeholders and experts. This year’s topics will include:
- Weights and dimensions
- Energy infrastructure
- Business models
More detailed information about the programme and speakers will be made available soon.
