European Conference on Connected and Automated Driving (EUCAD 2025)

Ispra | IRU participation

The European Commission, together with the European Partnership on Connected, Cooperative and Automated Mobility (CCAM) and the FAME project, are pleased to announce the 5th European Conference on Connected and Automated Driving (EUCAD 2025), which will take place in Ispra, Italy, on 13 to 15 May 2025.

EUCAD 2025 is the only event gathering political leaders from the European Commission and Member States with European and international high-level representatives of industry, academia and road authorities to discuss challenges, needs and synergies towards deployment of CCAM solutions, in Europe and beyond.

The EUCAD 2025 conference will take stock of latest research, policy, and regulatory developments in the field of CCAM and demonstrate European projects and recent R&I results supporting the market uptake of CCAM solutions.

The Conference will consist of a series of policy-oriented sessions, complemented by more technical sessions to discuss specific R&I challenges. In parallel, an exhibition and demonstrations of European and national R&I CCAM projects will be accessible throughout the duration of the event.

Ted Zotos, IRU's Research & Innovation Manager, will take part on the panel “CCAM for logistics: are we ready to do business” on 13 May, from 14:00 -15:30. The panel will explore how automation in logistics can move from controlled sites to public roads, and what that means for operators.

On 15 May, IRU will host a workshop under the Horizon Europe AIthena project on AI-driven business applications in road transport, highlighting explainable, human-centric AI innovations.
