Italy: extension of the permit exemption for Ukrainian and Moldovan carriers transporting international goods by road - UPDATED

The Ministry of Sustainable Infrastructure and Mobility in Italy has extended the exemption for the need for carriers to obtain a permit (authorisation) for international transport of goods by road. The measure applies for carriers of Ukrainian nationality and allows them to circulate freely on Italian territory. The exemption, previously valid until 31 December 2022, is now valid until 30 June 2023.
Additionally, Moldovan vehicles are also exempted from this obligation until 31 March 2023.
In any case, the insurance and safety obligations required for road traffic remain valid.
