Founded in 1969, the International Transport Companies Association of Iran (ITCAI) is the main road transport association in Iran. Together with ICCIMA, it has been promoting TIR and transit through corridors crossing Iran’s territory, facilitating border-crossing harmonisation and advocating to alleviate the shortage of professional drivers in the transport industry.
With 30 employees and more than 680 active members from different sectors of the transport industry, ITCAI has three main branches across Iran which work closely with the Ministry of Transport on issuing road permits and governing visa procedures for professional drivers.
