IRU's first virtual dialogue for the Americas brought together North American industry leaders to discuss the recently implemented US-Mexico-Canada (USMCA) trade agreement and its potential impact on cross-border freight transportation services. 

Like many industries, commercial road transport was seriously affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, operators and their employees stepped up to the plate and their actions have been widely praised. 

Supported by the Asian Development Bank, an IRU virtual event last week focused on trade between Pakistan, Afghanistan and Uzbekistan.
